Importantly, we support local artisans in Thailand with sustainable employment fair trade pricing. Each piece is 100% handmade and produced in a small batch production. Holding a KAYA piece is like holding a one-of-a-kind art piece.

Environmental sustainability has been a pillar of KAYA since its inception. We take this responsibility seriously and are constantly investing in practices that minimize our carbon footprint and reduce waste, from thoughtful design to mindful sourcing responsible materials and craft production.
Reduce carbon footprint
As an alternative to animal leather, the production of which is catastrophic in terms of deforestation, biodiversity loss, and greenhouse gas emissions, we use microfiber. As a result, one of our Gene bags reduces carbon footprint by 18,84 kg, the equivalent of planting 12,68 trees.
Cruelty Free
More than a billion cows, goats, and even dogs and cats are cruelly slaughtered for their skins every year. The tails and horns of many of these animals are cut off without painkillers, and some are even skinned and cut apart while still conscious. By contrast, vegan leather offers a killer look without any killing.
